Job Overview
This position involves performing various duties to support the paying and receiving function of our community office. Responsibilities include coordinating work within the unit or department, reporting pertinent information to the immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, providing guidance and on-the-job training to Tellers, and assisting with administrative tasks to support department/unit operations.
Key Duties:
1. Demonstrate core values and guiding principles as outlined in the Bank's Mission, Vision, and Value Statements.
2. Ensure all activities and work functions adhere to compliance requirements defined in company policies and procedures, as well as state/federal laws and regulations.
3. Perform various duties to support the paying and receiving function, including providing customer service, accurately completing deposit transactions, accepting utility bill payments, loan payments, safe deposit box rent, and other related payments, maintaining an approved level of cash, preparing daily settlement and proof of cash transactions, balancing cash drawers, and preparing reports relating to the function.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in accounting or business curriculum.
2. Proficient reading, writing, grammar, accounting, analytical, and mathematics skills, moderate computer skills, proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills, and moderate typing and office machine skills.
3. A minimum of three years of experience in a banking or financial industry service or retail environment.
