About the Role
As a Teller I, you will be responsible for performing various duties to support the paying and receiving function of our community office. You will coordinate work within your unit or department, as well as with other departments and units, to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide exceptional customer service by accurately and efficiently completing all deposit, check cashing, and other transactions involving negotiable instruments.
2. Demonstrate positive and welcoming demeanor consistently.
3. Maintain approved levels of cash, turn in excess and mutilated cash, and prepare daily settlement and proof of cash transactions.
4. Participate in growth initiatives by offering referrals and services to new and existing clients.
5. Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within your unit or department, as well as with other units or departments, to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
6. Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness.
7. Report pertinent information to your immediate supervisor as requested, or according to an established schedule; compile information as necessary or as directed and provide data to appropriate bank personnel.
8. Respond to inquiries relating to your particular area, or to requests from customers, other bank personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
Requirements
• A high school diploma or equivalent with an emphasis in a business or accounting curriculum.
• Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills;
• Proficient analytical and mathematics skills;
• Proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills;
• Proficient eye-hand coordination;
• Ability to operate various office machines;
• Ability to lift approximately fifty (50) lbs. of coin.
• A minimum of one (1) year experience in a Banking or Financial industry service or retail.
