What are the responsibilities and job description for the ED LPN FT Mid-shift 11a-11p position at Jeff Davis Hospital?
- Maintain current licensure and continuing education requirements, keep current in nursing knowledge through in-house and outside education activities.
- Maintain an accurate and detailed record of patient care provided.
- Complete daily assessment and charts timely and accurately.
Notifies Charge Nurse of significant findings or changes in patient’s physical or mental conditions.
Maintain a cooperative relationship with physicians, ancillary departments, and members of administration to provide the patient with quality care.
Administers medications and treatments according to established policies and procedures, and standards of care set by the state board of nursing and other governing agency regulations
Assist Charge Nurse in developing, implementing, and updating patient’s plan of care.
Provides quality, age specific care that demonstrates warmth and compassion.
Supervises Nursing Assistant and Ward Clerks in performing their duties.
Qualifications:
- Current Georgia LPN licensure.
- Current CPR, ACLS and PALS certification within 1 year of hire.
- Three to Six months experience or training; preferred.
- The equivalent combination of education and experience.
