Lead Paramedic

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all aspects of the Emergency Medical Services Department transport service including, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, training, quality assurance etc.
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to improve transport service efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensures completion of daily check-off sheet upon arrival each shift. The sheet includes, but is not limited to ambulance fuel, oil, tires, supplies, cleanliness, etc.
• Serves as a liaison between the department and other agencies such as law enforcement, fire, and other hospitals or transport services.
• Provides prehospital care within scope of practice.

• Cleans and restocks unit after every patient, ensuring ambulance is prepared for the next patient.
• Responsible for the drug boxes assigned to the unit.
• Completes annual education requirements, including all local, state, federal, and accredited body regulations.
• Maintains regulatory requirements, including all local, state, federal, and accredited body regulations.
• Works to maintain good rapport and a cooperative relationship with all hospital departments and employees.
• Represents the facility in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Minimum age of 18.
3. Current Paramedic certification
4. Valid Driver’s License
5. Current BLS certification.
