We are seeking a candidate with a passion for student-centered learning who has the ability to balance strong relationships with authentic and rigorous project-based learning experiences. This person will work closely with the geometry teacher to integrate geometry into building/construction projects to demonstrate the combined learning of geometry and construction . Applicants must have a commitment to professional growth, a team-first mindset, and be able to collaboratively work with colleagues as a member of the Contextual Learning Team, the Career Tech Ed Team and the Math Department.

This candidate does not need a teaching license. They will need to obtain a Secondary CTE Architecture and Construction license. All applicants must meet both content knowledge and occupational experience requirements:

• Content Knowledge - 24 semester hours of related post-secondary coursework verified on an official transcript to include a minimum of three semester hours of content coursework in four of the following areas: 1)architecture design and construction, 2)computer aided drafting and design, 3)layout and blueprint reading, 4)technical writing, 5) pathway specific courses such as construction technology, construction management, interior design, project management, architectural design OR Valid and current state or national industry license or certification in the appropriate occupational area (e.g., International Code Council Contractor/Trades certification, NCCER certifications, ADDA CAD certification, NOCTI certification exam). This does not include teacher licenses.
• Occupational Experience - (Credit for student teaching up to 800 hours may be applied to either occupational or teaching experience): If you hold a bachelor's or higher degree: 2,000 hours of verified, non-teaching experience in the content area OR if you hold less than a bachelor's degree: 4,000 hours of verified, non-teaching experience in the content area OR three years verified teaching experience in the content area (full-time is defined as 51% or more of a teaching schedule dedicated to teaching in the content area).
