Eiber Elementary is a small neighborhood elementary school tucked in the north-central part of Lakewood, Colorado, in the Eiber neighborhood. We serve roughly 350 students from our neighborhood and some who are choice enrolled. Our Free and Reduced lunch rate hovers between 89-94%, which provides us additional resources through Title I funding, and we also have Universal (free) Breakfast for all students, regardless of their F/R status. Free full day kindergarten helps our students get off to a strong start and we have 2-3 classrooms at each grade level, K-5. We host a strong team of support staff, and two instructional coaches who provide embedded professional development on a daily basis.

Eiber is the proud home for a diverse community of learners. Approximately 37% of our students are English Language Learners and we are privileged to be one of six elementary schools with a Spanish Dual Language program. Our Title I resources afford us the opportunity to provide additional learning resources for our students in the area of literacy and math. SUMMARY: Responsible for instructing students in an elementary grades K-6. Creates lesson plans, instructs students on core subjects such as science, literature, and math, and creates a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional preparedness based on the District's Core Curriculum. Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.

Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.

Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.

Participate in ongoing training sessions.

Create lesson plans and modify accordingly throughout the year.

Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed.

Read and stay abreast of current topics in education.

Utilize various curriculum resources and technologies to enhance student learning.

Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans.

Utilize District curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.

Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.

Prepare and distribute parent communications.

Observe and evaluate student's performance.

Manage student behavior in the classroom creating appropriate behavior strategies.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING Teacher must hold Colorado Teaching License or authorization.
