The Litigation Paralegal Team Lead plays a critical role in supervising the administrative responsibilities of the Civil Case Manager team. This individual will serve as a point of contact for team members, ensuring workflows are efficient and aligned with the firm's goals. While maintaining their own caseload, the Team Lead will oversee team performance, address administrative challenges, and ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.
What you'll be doing :
- Maintain an individual caseload and job duties of the Litigation Paralegal position. Including, but not limited to, preparing, reviewing, and editing legal documents such as discovery, demand letters, correspondence, and pleadings, while managing filing, document organization, and record collection. Also assists attorneys with client and witness preparation for depositions and trials, maintaining organized case files and materials, and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ensure the team is in compliance with firm policies, procedures, and case deadlines.
- Act as a liaison between the Litigation Paralegal team and management, communicating updates and addressing concerns.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to management regarding team performance.
- Audit team members' timecards for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Approve and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate team coverage.
- Support team members in managing complex or high-priority cases.
- Attends required morning and monthly meetings.
- Performs other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
