What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infrastructure Technical Project Manager position at Jefferies & Company, Inc.?
We are looking to hire an Infrastructure Technical Project Manager to join our team and actively engage with the Technology teams supporting firms Business groups. In this role, the candidate would work collaboratively with both the CIO and Global Technology Engineering/Global Information Security, to enhance the delivery of key programs that will benefit the business. The candidate will become familiar with the infrastructure, both on-premise and in the public cloud, the priorities of the organization and the impact that successful and timely program completion will have on the business. The role will also play a significant part in the Jefferies Cloud Adoption program, driving change and engagement.
Responsibilities include:
- Work with the Business to understand problem statements and use cases that can be matched to Cloud capabilities and oversee activities to utilize Cloud technologies to solve for business problems
- Engage the Business and CIO teams to present Cloud capabilities and the goals and status of the Cloud Adoption Program on a regular basis, including running demonstrations and publishing communications
- Manage the Cloud Adoption Program
- Interact with Stakeholders to evolve the Cloud Adoption program
- Track actions, all cloud program admin activities, training & comms ownership, partner with client sponsor on cloud program related activities
- Develop, report on and distribute cloud steering committee materials
- Develop, report on and distribute monthly program update materials
- Report on cloud program engagements and cio cloud initiatives (2024 and 2025 cloud initiatives)
- Work Global Technology Engineering teams to drive key Infrastructure projects to completion, establishing a project schedule and determining the phased breakdown of work.
- Ensure requirements are properly documented and agreed to by all stakeholders
- Leverage Project Change control to manage scope and document changes
- Scheduling: Setting up standard SDLC ceremonies (retrospectives, post-mortems, planning sessions)
- Manage meetings between the teams, documenting minutes and take-always. Between meetings, engage infra teams and other status of takeaways and assist where needed
- Risk Management: identify the unanticipated risks that may occur during project risk and work to mitigate them
- Execution:
- Track sprint execution of projects
- Working across different teams to create, iterate and manage delivery projects
- Guide teams through delivery and manage scope, risks & issues, resolving at the lowest level and escalating as needed
- Assigning tasks to project team members
- Governance:
- Responsible for adherence to project governance
- Ensure deliverables as required are created, documented & signed off by required parties
- Preparation & review of documentation prior to critical phases along SDLC
- Stakeholder Management:
- Providing regular updates to senior management
- Capture and process project governances improvement feedback
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of Public Cloud technologies, preferably AWS, Azure
- Networking Technology, Firewall implementations, Information Security, Databases & Linux/Windows Operating systems
- Must have knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum project management methodologies.
- Experience with JIRA is a plus.

The Salary Range for this role is $165,000-$185,000
The salary offered will take into consideration an individual’s experience level and qualifications.
