Asset Management & Alternative Investments Product Controller

Product Controller will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of Profit and Loss (P&L) for the various SMAs and Fund Investments. The role involves substantiating P&L and Balance sheet, and maintaining a robust control environment while meeting daily, monthly, and quarterly deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical skills, an in-depth understanding of financial products (Funds, Equities, Fixed Income, Loans), and a strong accounting foundation. Additionally, there will be ad-hoc / project related work in this role to assist with enhancing the platform and supporting new business activities. The role is hybrid work model, currently with 2 days required in-office per week total, with 1 of the days in Jersey City.

Key Responsibilities :

• Produce P&L reports for the Asset Management Division and ensure accuracy.
• Complete applicable reconciliations and work collaboratively with various teams to resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.
• Daily, Weekly, Quarterly P&L commentary, explaining material drivers of P&L to key stakeholders.
• Review and understand Investment Management agreements, Loan agreements, and modeling in Excel any PNL and inventory implications.
• Monthly close process, ensuring accurate P&L and Balance Sheet balances in the General ledger, including Balance Sheet substantiation, and variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards for P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
• Ownership, complete understanding, and substantiation of all adjustments made to the subledger and General Ledger.
• Accurate preparation of quarterly FASB disclosures.
• Enhance, automate, and streamline work processes leveraging new technologies and tools.
• Act as a troubleshooter within the team, addressing any issues that arise.
• Maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $90,000 - $110,000

The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
