What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Vice President, Data Scientist position at Jefferies?
Plan, organize, and delineate responsibilities for the completion of data science projects related to data warehousing and predictive analytics. Use end-to-end pipelines from data sources through final outputs. Create IT infrastructure, build jobs, and data pipelines to feed mathematical models with clean and well-formatted data using Airflow, PySpark, and cloud technologies. Lead vendor relationships by allocating correct skillsets and tools of vendor resources to proper tasks. Requirements : Master’s degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Data Science or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. All of the required experience must have included experience with : using Scala and PySpark for data engineering and data cleaning; developing Python scripts to implement, train, and tune models; utilizing Amazon Web Services to deploy models for stakeholder use; working with orchestration tools to schedule and time models correctly; creating machine learning models for predictive analytics; tuning and training models using advanced statistical techniques; using statistical techniques to understand business data; and communicating complex topics such as generative AI, machine learning, and data architecture to business stakeholders in a clear and concise way. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location. .Minimum Salary : 150,000 Maximum Salary : 150,000 Salary Unit : Yearly
