What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Operations Intern position at Jefferson Bank?
JOB FUNCTION:
Loan Operations Intern gain exposure to back-office operations, including internal processes governed by regulation and loan policy, assisting in project development and risk assessments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Scanning/imaging documents.
- Posting basic accounting entries.
- Updating exception reports.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh perspectives on ongoing projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Skills Needed
- Must be innovative and able to work independently.
- Must have strong multitasking skills and organizational skills with ability to focus on details.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills.
- Optimistic and positive attitude.

Education/Skills/Experience
- Jr. or Sr. in an accredited college and pursuing a bachelor’s degree, or a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree.
Equipment/Machines/Software
- Excellent computer literacy.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams).
- Working Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to use various Internet Browsers.
- Ability to work with office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and telephone.
Competency Requirements
- Must be able to hear and speak to communicate with customers.
- Proven organizational skills with ability to multi-task and follow assigned tasks through completion.
- Must be accustomed to a fast-paced office environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to reach, bend and lift files up to 20lbs.
- Must be able to stand periodically throughout the day.
- Must be able to sit for up to 3 hours in front of a computer.
- Must be able to read a laptop/computer monitor.
- Must be able to type on a keyboard.
