Job description
Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales (JBYS) is seeking a skilled boat detailer to assist our lead detailer. Candidates must have a background in cleaning and detailing and work well in an independent and team environment. This role will primary involve assisting in the cleaning, maintenance, and detailing of boats to ensure they are presented in immaculate condition to our clients. The ideal client will be passionate about boats, possess strong attention to detail, and willing to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
JBYS details and new and used Sunseeker, Viking, Valhalla, HCB, Sailfish, Williams, Princess, and Absolute yachts, Sacs Rebel as well as many other makes and models. We mainly work on vessels in the 30’ to 100’ range.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in boat detailing or a related field is preferred but not required
- Passion for boats and watercraft with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well independently
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
- Must be comfortable working on the water, comfortable with heights and small spaces
- Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the cleaning and detailing of boat both inside and out, including hulls, decks, cabins, and interiors
- Use a variety of cleaning agents, brushes, and tools to remove dirt, grime, and stains from boat surfaces
- Help in polishing and waxing of boat exteriors
- Assist in the cleaning and conditioning of boat interiors, including upholstery, carpets, and wood surfaces
- Assist in the organization and maintenance of detailing equipment, supplies and inventory
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
