Normal Work Hours/Days: 3:00p.m. - 11:30 p.m. (Monday - Friday)
Location: Crisis Care Center
The Crisis Care Center is designed to provide crisis stabilization to individuals experiencing a behavioral health and/or substance use crisis and reduce pressure on law enforcement and local emergency departments. Once the crisis has been resolved and the individual has been stabilized, they will be linked with a community mental health provider for on-going services. This position involves the performance of day-to-day cleaning of all areas of the Crisis Care Center by performing routine cleaning of client rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. The individual hired for this position must demonstrate the ability to utilize the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for timely cleaning of rooms/recliners of discharged clients to ensure resources are accessible for new admissions
Performs routine cleaning of client rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner
Properly disinfect and sanitize all surfaces and objects that come into contact with consumers
Performs detailed cleaning of designated areas according to check list
Clean, mop, sweep, dust and disinfect the building and store all equipment at the end of the shift
Completes work assignments in a timely manner
Monitor and replenishes supplies and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
Respond to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills that require immediate attention for safety and security of the Crisis Care Center
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
Uses and maintains equipment properly
Reports safety hazards as appropriate to supervisor
Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, standard universal precautions for cleaning bodily fluids and adhere to isolation precautions
Always observes safety precautions
Assist with laundry management, including washing, drying, and sorting linen if needed
Perform detailed deep cleans when required
Other special projects or duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or GED
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge of environmental services
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, legal, and financial information
Ability to complete work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to handle difficult situations involving clients, staff, or others in a professional manner
