What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHR Application Analyst I position at Jefferson - Center City, Philadelphia, PA?

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

EHR Clinical Application Analysts are the primary support for the assigned clinical application(s). They must be very knowledgeable about the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations and coordinate all issues that arise during installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting, and upgrading for their application area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops content and documentation tools for implementing systems changes and other tasks and provides input for training materials
  • Performing indepth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with application
  • Populates own databases during initial system build and assists in software code upgrades
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson

OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding the choices involved in application configuration
  • Developing / documenting procedures for implementing system changes and other tasks
  • Serving as a liaison between end users, third parties, and vendors
  • Troubleshooting problems and questions from end users
  • Analysis of application content and negotiation of any user requested modifications

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous work experience in healthcare, information systems, or healthcare IT
