What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mountain School Based Therapist position at Jefferson Center for Mental Health?

The Mountain School Based Clinician will provide school-based clinical interventions for students attending King Murphy Elementary and Clear Creek Middle School.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Master’s Degree in related field plus one or more years related experience and/ or training.
- Colorado licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD) preferred.
Job Specific Competencies/ Duties:
- Develop therapeutic alliances with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Engage consumers and families in goal setting, work constructively to reach agreed upon outcomes, and coordinate care with internal and external providers.
- Provide evidenced-based individual and family therapy promoting change and movement through the therapeutic system following recovery and trauma-informed practice guidelines.
- Provide case management services such as service planning, advocating, community referrals, and assisting clients with acquiring basic needs.
- Facilitate behavioral health prevention education groups.
- Identify risk factors including lethality for suicidal, homicidal and/or grave disability. As appropriate, complete suicide assessments and involuntary mental health holds (27-65) according to center and school protocols. Identify risk factors for abuse and neglect and make Social Service reports as needed.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, courtesy, adaptability, flexibility, and spirit of cooperation in the work environment. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Collaborate with all parties essential to consumer welfare including but not limited to the school district, child welfare system, juvenile justice system, school-based health centers, families, and other community resources.
Professional Development:
- Continue education toward earning or maintaining licensure
- Keep up with current trends and changes in the field
- Review challenging cases with peers and supervisors
- Participate in ongoing collaborative supervision
Administrative Services:
- Participate in parent/ teacher conferences and back to school events
- Attend monthly school district Mental Health Team meetings
- Complete clinical documentation within 3 business days.

Salary Grade 51-Master’s Unlicensed Clinician $57,000 - $64,000*
Salary Grade 52- (Licensed Clinician LCSW, LMFT, LPC) $70,000 – $77,200*
Additional Salary Information*:
- The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
