The Pharmacy Technician works to ensure customer satisfaction by serving each customer according to company mission. The day-to-day tasks include: filling prescriptions, answering customer questions, managing inventory, and prioritizing workflow demands. This position is located within a clinic setting and will include other duties as assigned to support the clinic’s mission.
Essential Duties:
- Demonstrates ability to accurately and efficiently fill prescription orders.
- Answers phone in a courteous manner determines where to direct, notifies person who is to receive the call or takes a message as appropriate.
- Quickly and efficiently assists customers at the pharmacy window including locating client’s prescription order, determining status of prescription order, and cash register functions.
- Self-directed in restocking medications, supplies, putting away daily order and cleaning of pharmacy, including, but not limited to, vacuuming, trash removal and shredding.
- Accepts and completes other duties as assigned by pharmacy staff with a positive attitude.
- Works to ensure customer satisfaction by serving each customer according to company mission.
- Adhere to Pharmacy Department Quality Assurance Standards as directed by the Pharmacist staff and Pharmacist-in-Charge.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Knowledge of drugs and drug categories
- Knowledge of pharmacologic and legal classification of drugs
- Strong interpersonal communication skills in person, in writing, or on the telephone
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
PREFERRED:
- Previous Experience in a Retail Pharmacy Environment
- Nursing Home and Assisted Living experience
- Third Party Billing Experience
- PTCB or willingness to obtain
- *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
