What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG)?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Specific Competencies:
- Assists the pharmacist in preparing patient prescriptions for inpatient and outpatient services, including prescriptions for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatric age groups.
- Correctly uses facility communication systems.
- Provides appropriate safety and infection control measures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prefer graduate of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program
Experience:
- Prefer 1-year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Certification/License:
- Registered in the State of MO as a pharmacy technician in good standing is required.
- BLS required
Knowledge/ Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to use computerized information systems (EnterpriseRx)
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is normally performed in an interior/office environment. Occasionally work involves driving to locations off of the main campus.
