Description
The Employment Workshops Facilitator role is a great opportunity for someone who:
The Employment Workshop Facilitator leads workshops focused on developing career exploration, career preparation and soft skills for diverse populations in the community. This role requires facilitators with experience working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, education, and experience. Workshops are primarily held virtually, with in-person work conducted at the request of community partners. This role also requires some development of workshop materials. This is a great role for someone who seeks to build community relationships and see tangible impacts on other people.
This position operates on a part-time schedule and is based on workshops scheduled to meetcustomer and partner needs. Schedule is set onemonth in advance. Schedule times are flexible with division and employee needs and may vary week-to-week. Expectations regarding hours to be worked for this position will be discussed during the interview, however, this position can expect to work around 15-20 hours per week.
Schedule
This position is hybrid, with remote work and in-office work as needed.
Compensation
Hiring Range: $25.00 - $27.56 USD Hourly
Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

- Leading workshops focused on developing professional skills such as resume & cover letter writing, interviewing, leading workshops on LinkedIn, career exploration, and essential professional skills
- Working with underserved populations
- Displaying an outstanding ability to understand and empathize with people of diverse backgrounds
- Delivering training
- Facilitating exercises and activities
- Lecturing on subject matter
- Coaching participants and conducting debriefing sessions
- Determining the level and type of classroom engagement with each participant and with each class

Preferred Qualifications
- Proven facilitation skills (audience engagement)
- Experience in online delivery/meeting platforms (WebEx, Zoom, Teams, Google Meets)
- Knowledge of Adult Training methods/modalities
- Ability to articulate clearly and effectively to varying levels of customer without judgment
- Experience and comfort with public speaking
- Strong written and oral communication
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism while navigating different technology and troubleshoot when necessary
- Ability to build rapport in an online virtual environment
- Providing instructions in an easy-to-understand manner
