Summary
As the JCAP Director, you will oversee the management and implementation of chemical addiction programs, reporting directly to the executive leadership team. Your role is vital in providing support and guidance to individuals in recovery, utilizing core skills in interviewing and case management. Program Leadership and Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor JCAP programming, ensuring compliance with state and county guidelines.
- Oversee daily operations of the program, including scheduling, curriculum delivery, and participant progress tracking.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and reporting on recidivism rates, treatment outcomes, and participant feedback.
Staff Supervision
- Recruit, train, and supervise program staff, including counselors, case managers, and volunteers.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing professional development opportunities.
Participant Coordination
- Work with jail staff to identify eligible inmates for program participation based on established criteria.
- Provide individualized support to participants, addressing barriers to recovery and reentry.
- Develop and oversee reentry plans, connecting participants with post-release services such as outpatient treatment, housing, and employment.
Community and Stakeholder Collaboration
- Build and maintain partnerships with local treatment providers, community corrections, probation, and other justice agencies.
- Serve as a liaison to community organizations and advocacy groups to expand program resources and support networks.
- Represent JCAP at community events, meetings, and training sessions.
- Leverage knowledge of local resources and services to enhance participant outcomes and program success.
Grant-Writing and Funding
- Identify funding opportunities through grants, county budgets, and donations.
- Write and submit grant applications to secure funding for program sustainability and expansion.
- Manage program resources, including treatment materials, educational tools, and facility needs.
- Prepare and submit budgets and financial reports as required.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure the program operates in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress, program activities, and outcomes.
- Submit regular reports to Jefferson County Court Services, the Sheriff’s Office, funding agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, public administration, or a related field.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in substance abuse treatment, criminal justice, or program management.
- Experience in grant-writing and securing funding for programs.
- Experience working in a correctional or justice-related environment is strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
