Clerk Hire Park Maintenance Assistant

Jefferson County Parks and Recreation is hiring a Clerk Hire Park Maintenance Assistant. This position involves maintaining various county parks and campgrounds, including Gibbs Lake, HJ Carroll Park, Memorial Field, Oak Bay Campground, Quilcene Campground, and Lake Leland Campground. Duties include trail work, landscaping, mowing, cleaning, and minor repairs. This is a great opportunity to work outdoors and contribute to the community. The work schedule is set in advance and offers some flexibility depending on the season and team needs. You'll be joining a small, professional, and supportive maintenance team.

Minimum Qualifications: Individual needs to be able to perform this job successfully and each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed on the job description are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED and valid WA State Driver License; experience operating power tools and landscape and lawn care equipment; and driving large pickup truck with a trailer. Must be able to perform physical labor, stand and walk for up to eight hours, and be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Hours & Compensation: This is a part-time Clerk Hire position. Work up to 69 hours per month, $21.00 per hour. No benefits. One hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
