EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- High school Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree Preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous retail experience is highly recommended.
- Experience in working in retail, providing customer service.
- Knowledgeable of retail operations including, but not limited to, sales transaction processing, merchandising, customer problem solving, providing excellent customer service, working as a team member.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Sales Clerk position is responsible for maintaining the clothing and gift departments within the store. This includes, but is not limited to sweatshirts, t-shirts, drink ware, and imprinted gift items. The Sales Clerk will provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty and staff. They will work closely with our guests to make sure their needs are met. This position will also organize and inventory the stock room.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide excellent customer service to our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Maintains the clothing and gift departments.
- Processes customer transactions at the register.
- Works closely with Director on product selection, merchandising sales floor, and replenishment.
- Interacts with students, co-workers, visitors, and other individuals consistent with the values of Jefferson.
