We are actively seeking Die Engineering Project Lead to join our Die Engineering team on 1st shift (core schedule, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
Position Description
The Die Engineer Project Lead works with a team of Engineers to manage the quoting, design,
construction and installation of complex stamping dies at the mass production location. This role
focuses on ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
The Project Lead applies technical expertise in die design to guide the team and ensure all
project goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
l Project Planning and Management:
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budget
management for die development projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design engineers, manufacturing engineers, quality
control) to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
Possible travel in U.S. and overseas (China, Japan…etc.) for die buyoff, meeting and support
of outsourcing.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain
project schedule and budget.
l Technical Leadership:
Lead the design and development of complex stamping dies, including selecting appropriate
materials, designing die components, and optimizing die geometry for efficient production.
Analyze customer requirements, product specifications, and manufacturing constraints to
develop optimal die designs.
Review and approve die design drawings, ensuring compliance with engineering standards
and manufacturing capabilities.
l Team Management
Direct and mentor a team of die engineers, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and
fostering a collaborative work environment.
Participate in performance reviews and identify training needs for team members to enhance
their technical skills.
Facilitate communication and problem-solving within the team to address technical challenges
and resolve issues effectively.
l Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the die development process, including
design reviews, prototype testing, and final inspection.
Implement quality control procedures to identify and mitigate potential quality issues.

Investigate and resolve any quality concerns related to die performance or product quality.
l Manufacturing Support:
Collaborate with manufacturing / production personnel to ensure smooth die tryout and
production launch.
Provide technical support for troubleshooting die-related issues during production runs.
o Identify opportunities for die optimization and cost reduction.

Position Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
l Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
l Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and 2D drawing tools
l Strong understanding of metal forming principles, material properties, and tooling design
l Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of engineers
l Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
l Experience in project management methodologies and tools
