Certification Details ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS TNCC Job Details ER Nursing Position at Jefferson Medical Center Level IV Trauma Center Fast-paced environment with approximately 60 patients per day Must have charge and triage experience Job Requirements ACLS (AHA) required BLS (AHA) required NIHSS required (facility is working on becoming a stroke ready hospital) PALS (AHA) required TNCC required Previous EPIC experience required Schedule Information 12 hour shifts Start times : 7am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 7pm Self-scheduling and block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met Weekend requirement : usually 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule Holiday rotation required Unit Specific Information Unit : ER - Level IV Trauma Center 18-Beds ER with capacity to go up to 21-Beds Charge Nurse covers Triage approximately 6 hours / day Security guard in the waiting room or ER 24 / 7 RN's draw their own lab draws unless difficult stick RT is in-house 24 / 7 Pharmacy is not 24 / 7, RN's responsible for mixing drips after hours Additional Details Submission Requirements : Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years Individual unit requirements listed in pulse apply Travel teams must be submitted together in 1 email Only 2 candidates can be submitted per opening
