Job Details

  • ER Nursing Position at Jefferson Medical Center
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • Fast-paced environment with approximately 60 patients per day
  • Must have experience with EPIC EMR

    • Job Requirements

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
  • TNCC
  • Previous experience in ER required
  • Strong IV skills required

    • Schedule Information

  • 12 hour shifts
  • Start times : 7am, 9am, 10am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 7pm
  • Self-scheduling and block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met
  • Weekend requirement : usually 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule

    • Unit Specific Information

  • Charge Nurse available 24 / 7
  • No floating
  • First 12 hour orientation shift includes meeting with security and getting ID badge
  • Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, DM, and behavioral health issues

    • Additional Details

  • COVID vaccine required
  • Submission requirements : Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire WVU system
  • Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
  • Previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years
  • Previous travelers there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years
