REPORTS TO: Building Principal
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator’s License with middle school endorsement in Social Studies
- Experience working collaboratively with other teachers
- Experience in flexible grouping, including small group and individual instructional practices
- Cooperate in carrying out school and district policies and regulations
- Demonstrate teaching skills necessary to perform duties, including maintaining classroom control, utilizing appropriate techniques and being knowledgeable about subject
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain a classroom climate and management plan conducive to learning
- Actively participate as a member of a professional learning community
- Contribute as a team member and/or leader to all school improvement initiatives
- Use technology as a means to support the work of teachers and students
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community
- Cooperate in carrying out school district rules and regulation. Be punctual and regular in attendance
- Perform other duties as assigned
