HIRING PART-TIME/FULL-TIME MUSIC TEACHERS: PIANO/VOICE

Jefferson Music Academy offers music lessons. Located in Jackson County Georgia, we offer a professional environment that is as creative and versatile as the students we teach.

Since opening in 2018, Jefferson Music Academy is dedicated to providing exceptional music education to students of ages 6 and up and all skill levels. We are dedicated to fostering a love for music and nurturing the talents of our students.

With the increasing demands of music lessons in the area, we are currently seeking several passionate and experienced Music Teachers to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis as music teachers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piano, vocal, guitar or banjo playing and a commitment to helping students develop their musical abilities.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates should be qualified to provide students a solid musical foundation in the following:

• fundamentals of performance
• technique
• music reading
• theory & ear-training
• musicianship & artistry
• Submit a Music Specific Resume

Instructors should be able to play and teach through at least intermediate level. Potential instructors should have a love for teaching music to all levels and ages and have the ability to adapt their teaching style to any age and learning style, as well as make music learning a fun and engaging experience for each student. Instructors should be able to adapt their teaching from in-person to online, depending on the student’s needs. Instructors must have a reliable vehicle to travel to students’ homes if needed.

Bachelor of Music degree preferred or equivalent teaching experience (classroom or private) acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for piano, voice, guitar, and banjo students of all ages.
• Foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management techniques.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their musical skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and teaching methods.
• Support students in preparing for performances and examinations, ensuring a well-rounded musical education.

Compensation: $35-39 an hour depends on experience. Teachers are paid as independent contractors on a 1099.
