Hours: Days, Full - Time (Including Call)
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Preferred Education: Completion of an accredited anesthesia technician program preferred
Minimum Skill Requirements:
Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in equipment setup and patient monitoring Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols precisely Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with the anesthesia providers and surgical staff Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks, such as moving and lifting heavy equipment Dexterity and coordination to handle delicate instruments and equipment Ability to quickly asses and respond to equipment malfunctions or patient emergencies Critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions effectively Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including anesthesia, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities in a dynamic operating room environment Strong organizational skills to manage supplies, maintain equipment, and keep accurate records Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
Preferred Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an operating room or anesthesia department Knowledge of aseptic and infection control practices Hands-on experience with anesthesia equipment Proficiency in setting up, operating, and maintaining anesthesia machines, monitors, and related equipment Basic understanding of medical terminology and surgical procedures Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile technique Strong communication skills to interact with surgical team members and patients
