What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLINIC LPN - MONTICELLO MEDICAL-FT position at Jefferson Regional Med Ctr?
HOURS: Mon-Fri- Days
Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing and have a current valid license. Minimum of one year experience as an LPN preferred. Practice and/or related medical clinic experience preferred. Must be able to draw blood. Must be able to present a friendly and caring attitude to patient and family. Must be able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form. Occasional light to moderate lifting required.
Must be able to work at a fast pace and interact with patients and family members who may be abusive and/or unfriendly. Must be accepting of patient cultural/ethnic diversity. Must maintain knowledge in providing appropriate care and education of all age groups.
Job Responsibilities: Will perform the following task: evaluation of patients and their problems, assist with medical exams, prioritize patient care, administer medications, follow orders, communication using phone and computer skills, interpreting and caring out physician orders, patient/Dr referrals, Precerts, PA's and other tasks that may be assigned by Clinical Coordinator/Mgr.
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position. The essential duties of the job require the employee to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. A lapse in attention to detail may constitute a threat to health or safety resulting in injury, illness, or death.
