What You Should Know About the Cytotechnologist Coordinator:
- Typical Hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Laboratory
Job Summary
The Cytotechnologist Coordinator is responsible for the day to day supervision and operation of the Cytology Department. Duties will include development and oversight of quality assurance activities within the department that are required to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies. This position is considered a working supervisor position as the individual will also perform routine Cytotechnologist Coordinator duties including the processing and screening of GYN and Non-GYN specimens and slides.
Cytotechnologist Coordinator Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology required.
- Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program.
- This is a safety sensitive position.*

Minimum Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a Cytotechnologist.
- Proficiency in microscopic analysis and diagnostic techniques
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Preferred Requirements:
- Experience as a cytotechnologist in a hospital setting
- Experience as a supervisor and/or leadership experience.
