Job Summary:
The Pathology Processing Technician is responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and molecular specimens. This role involves accessioning, data entry, specimen preparation, and slide staining to ensure timely and reliable results. The Pathology Processing Technician maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment while contributing to overall laboratory efficiency through inventory management and equipment up keep.
HVAC Mechanic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Degree: Medical Laboratory Technology, Histotechnology, Biotechnology or other related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Basic computer skills.
- Preferred experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Knowledge of medical terminology helpful.
- Experience with specimen processing techniques. Knowledge of basic laboratory and histology procedures. Previous experience in a laboratory or healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong problem solving sills and attention to detail.
- This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.
