What are the responsibilities and job description for the PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN II - 2NW WOMEN'S UNIT - FT NIGHTS position at Jefferson Regional Med Ctr?
HOURS: Nights
Position requires the education criteria as described in the PCT I job description and one of the following: 1) Successful completion of Level I Med/Surg of an accredited RN program with skill verification; or 2) Completion of a recognized certified nurse aide program with one year acute care in good standing and completion of the JRMC PCT II course; or 3) 2 years of full time hospital acute care experience in good standing and completion of the JRMC PCT II course. Must complete CPR certification within the first 30 days of employment and must maintain certification every two years. Patient care experience preferred.
Physical/Mental - Requires climbing stairs and walking/standing for extended periods of time. Requires lifting up to 30 lbs on an occasional basis (up to 15% of time) and moderate physical exertion up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis; pushing; pulling; bending/and stooping to transport patients, patient's personal items and medical supplies.
This position is designated as a safety sensitive position. The essential duties of the job require the employee to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. A lapse in attention to detail may constitute a threat to health or safety resulting in injury, illness, or death.
