Job Summary:
The Patient Care Technician II plays a critical role in the healthcare team by providing direct patient care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse. They will ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients, providing compassionate and empathetic care while maintain patient dignity and confidentiality. The PCT will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to support patient treatment and recovery.
Patient Care Technician II Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a patient care technician or certified nurse assistant program required.
- This is a Safety Sensitive Position.*
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills for the electronic medical record
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients
- Ability to work in a fast paced team orientated environment
- Capacity to handle exposure to various clinical environments and potential infectious materials
- Have experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Preferred soft skills: empathy, compassion, problem solving skills, attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Previous experience as a CNA in a healthcare setting preferred.
