What You Should Know About the Project Specialist:
- Monday- Friday: Typical hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Facilities Department
Job Summary:
The Project Specialist is responsible and accountable for coordinating construction functions and other various projects at all JHA properties. This role will work with the Facilities Manager and the Director of Facilities/Campus Planning & Development to assure activities are performed in accordance with project plans and specifications and assures the items meet all items meet the applicable codes, standards & regulations.
Project Specialist Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma in engineering, project management, or other related field preferred.
- This is a safety sensitive position. **
- A minimum of 5 years experience in construction management and trade skills.
- Must be able to interact with hospital & community leaders and possess sufficient analytical and problem solving skills.
- Must be able to handle high level of stress, meet required deadlines and successfully perform multiple tasks at a time.
- Strong knowledge of Facilities Management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in supervising trades personnel preferred.
- Proficiency in project management software preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare facility operations and regulatory requirements preferred
