What are the responsibilities and job description for the REGISTRAR - EMERGENCY DEPT-FT position at Jefferson Regional Med Ctr?
HOURS: Must be available for various hours.
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Background in Healthcare environment preferred. Must have at least one year of personal computer experience. Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Requires extensive use of computer and related equipment. Requires patient transport, some pushing and lifting may be required.
High degree of mobility is required, must be able to work under pressure with time constraints and must be able to coordinate multiple office duties at the same time. Must be able to handle stressful situations with poise, and in a courteous manner. A high degree of concentration is a must to ensure accuracy. Work schedule may vary as needed.
Overview of Responsibilities: Receives admitting information from Physician’s offices, centralized scheduling and hospital departments. Conduct interview with patient or responsible party to obtain required demographic and financial data to complete the registration process. Registrar may have to handle money as part of the registration process.
