What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Technician position at Jefferson Regional Medical Center?
Seeking two (2) qualified Sterile Processing Techs for the evening shift (one full-time and one PRN). Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred. Achievement of certification with one year of employment is required. Good knowledge of regulatory requirements related to the sterilization of supplies, instruments, and equipment is preferred.
This position performs day-to-day operations overseeing methods for decontamination of surgical instruments, preparations and packaging of surgical instruments, sterilization of surgical instruments, case cart preparation, and delivery of sterile products.
Must be able to work 8-hour shifts for the 40-hour week with rotation to all shifts, weekends plus call requiring 30 minute response time.
