Overview
Jefferson Sola LLC dba Sola Salons, is the third largest franchisee group of Sola Salons, the leading salon studios concept in the country. With 28 locations across 5 states, Jefferson Sola operates salon studio spaces that it sub-leases to beauty professionals who run their own independent businesses from inside. Currently we serve over 700 hair stylists, estheticians, nail technicians, medical professionals, tattoo artists, etc. Our mission is to help these professionals build successful businesses that provide them with the flexibility, independence and freedom to live their best lives.
We are seeking a business manager to oversee the operations of our eight business locations across Northeast Wisconsin (in Appleton, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Wausau). Each location is a retail space with 22-30 independent salon studios (100-200 sq ft. in size). The primary objective of the business manager role is to maximize occupancy by recruiting and then leasing to new professionals and by providing top notch service to existing professionals. This is a full-time W2 position reporting to the COO. There is some flexibility to schedule your hours, however, timely responses are necessary and job will require some of these hours to be on weekends or in the evenings. There will be an opportunity for growth over time.
Job Responsibilities
Sales and Marketing
· Scheduling in person property tours for prospects from marketing sources, i.e. leads, networking events, referrals etc…,
· Discussing sales strategy for the tour with COO
· Conducting property tours, answering questions and sharing feedback from the tour with management team
· Walking through the leasing documents and explaining terms of the lease with prospective beauty professionals
· Presentation of Value proposition and financial details of leasing structure
· Helping with onsite and local marketing/advertising for the recruitment of new beauty professionals (this could include hanging flyers in local businesses or hosting open houses/other events)
· Building relationships with target beauty professionals and supply houses in the area and maintaining communication with all professionals’ post-tour
· Consistent use of CRM in accordance with company procedures
Beauty Professional Relations
· Providing excellent customer service and establishing good professional relationships with all beauty professionals in the location
· Conducting orientation on the property for new beauty professionals including reviewing the start-up manual, giving keys and making sure room is ready for first day
· Responding to texts, phone calls and emails with questions from current and prospective beauty professionals
· Responding to beauty professional concerns; coordinating with management team, maintenance contractors and other vendors to address concerns in timely manner
· Facilities maintenance manager HVAC vendor and plumber, and other vendors as required
· Local manager handles all in person vendor meetings and contacts vendors in emergency situations
· Addressing any rule enforcement issues with beauty professionals; coordinate with COO on approach and then local manager has first in person conversation
Owner/Team Relations
· Frequent and open communication with management team to keep them updated on prospects, beauty professionals, property issues and any other status of locations.
· Timely submission of required reporting
· Partner with management team to provide an excellent environment for beauty professionals to build their businesses
· Frequent communication and coordination with other team members at Jefferson Sola including Controller (finance), Marketing and Operations and peers as needed
Facilities Management
· Monitoring property, checking in with beauty professionals and helping to maintain a positive and respectful work environment
· Ensuring that appearance of common areas, vacant and occupied spaces are in good appearance; performing small cleaning and maintenance repairs as available; giving feedback to the cleaners; identifying repair issues with location
· Coordinating maintenance and repairs with Facilities Manager; Facilities Manager will manager maintenance manager relationship to start; onsite manager helps to coordinate and prioritize and make sure completed properly in timely manner
· Quickly and proactively resolve emergency maintenance issues
· Ensure cleaning is being done as contracted and required
· Be in each location minimum of 2 times per week
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
