Home Liaison

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS: Reports to: Principal

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

• Support students with attendance concerns
• Home visit
• Liaison between school and home
• Coordinate school-wide PBIS initiative
• Supervise lunchroom

OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure students are attending school on a regular basis
• Work as a member of the MTSS team to support whole child achievement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree and experience working with children and families in a field related to
• education, human services, sociology, or psychology.
• Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with a team of professionals, problem-solve issues, organize events and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility of schedule to implement evening meetings and events based on programming needs
• Demonstrate ability to use computer technology to maintain records, complete equipment inventory, create communication tools, and report student progress.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Availability for after-hours meetings with the parents
• On-call availability for emergencies
