This position will, on an 18-month interim basis, support accounting duties including product costing, general accounting, and other functions as assigned. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assist with analysis of cost variances, support cost reduction and costing related to new product efforts, prepare reconciliations and analyses, and support monthly, quarterly and yearly closing duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Cost Accounting Function :
Accurately record costs associated with production, including direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.
Assist with the annual standard cost update and analysis to ensure accurate costs are established.
Assist with readiness controls and the activation of standard costs for new items.
Calculate unit costs for finished goods.
Analyze variances between standard costs and actual costs.
Support Operations to resolve inventory issues (negative inventory, BOM errors etc.)
General Accounting Function :
Perform account reconciliations for general ledger accounts.
Gather and analyze financial data to prepare monthly journal entries
Collaborate with accounting team to ensure accurate reporting.
Produce variance analysis and make recommendations for remediation of root causes.
Additional general accounting duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Facility requiring Safety Equipment
Hybrid environment – 3 days per week required onsite
Technical Skills :
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel (VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables experience is a must)
Microsoft Dynamics AX or other accounting software desirable.
Must have strong analytical skills, work with minimal supervision, be highly motivated, and be able to mine data.
Qualifications :
Education and / or Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 5 - 10 years plus general accounting and cost accounting experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Position requires good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
Detail oriented, self-directed, highly motivated professional with a positive attitude and effective problem solving and multi-tasking skills.
Salary : $40 - $50
