Job Details

Jeff Temps, Jefferson's in-house temp service, is seeking CERTIFIED Sterile Processing Technicians to work full-time hours in our Center City location. All shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  



Primary Responsibilities:

Skill in the decontamination, tray assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments for the Operating Room and other departments requiring the reprocessing of surgical instrumentation.

Essential Functions: 

-Cleans, disassembles sorts, decontaminates, reassembles, packages and sterilizes reusable surgical instrumentation following manufacturer’s guidelines and departmental policy and procedure.
-Operates automated washers, cart washers, ultrasonic washers, and sterilizers in a safe and efficient manner following manufacturers’ written instructions and department policy and procedure
-Uses the Abacus Instrument Tracking System in the assembly of surgical trays and peel-pouched items.
-Demonstrates good communication skills, verbal and non-verbal, when interacting with internal and external customers.
