Jeffersonville Bake Shop in Jeffersonville, NY is looking for a sous chef to join our team. We are located on 4906 State Route 52. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.
In addition to daily breakfast sandwiches and a small lunch menu, responsibilities include managing kitchen team, ordering, helping with prep, and helping to maintain a clean kitchen. Applicants must have motivation, be a team player in a team focused environment, multi-task as needed and be able to work well under pressure. Responsibilities
- Train and develop chefs to company standards
- Create new dishes and menus in accordance with business needs
- Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
- Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards
Qualifications
- Experience working as a sous chef or chef
- High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
- Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
- Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
