Job Summary:
JEGS Automotive is seeking a strategically minded Business Analyst to support the financial planning and analysis functions of the company. The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing financial data, driving results, and providing insights to assist the company's decision-making process. This role is a good fit for a problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You Will:

• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide actionable insights to improve financial performance. Proactively identify risks and opportunities to support strategic decision making.
• Reporting: Support the preparation of financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key financial metrics, variances, and trends. Create and implement business-wide reporting to ensure consistent and accurate financial performance tracking.
• Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the design of planning strategies across sales, inventory, and category levels to improve forecast accuracy and business responsiveness. Regularly review and assess the accuracy of financial forecasts and adjust based on actual performance and changing business conditions.
• Operational Metrics Tracking: Support the development and tracking of KPI’s (ROI, etc.). Provide data-driven recommendations to drive efficiency and performance.
• Pricing & Promotional Analysis: Optimize pricing models through reviews of competitor price scraping, testing, and analysis of promotional effectiveness. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align pricing strategies with business goals and improve margins.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance financial analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and reporting processes. Assist in implementing best practices and improving efficiency.
• Inventory & Planning Support: Lead or assist in demand planning strategies. Evaluate inventory levels to align investment with market trends and business objectives.
• Ad Hoc Analysis & Projects: Deliver ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives, market expansion, pricing strategies, and promotional assessments.

You Have:

• Dynamic, self-starting individual who displays initiative and a keen interest in solving problems
• Quantitative degree such as a bachelor’s degree in finance, or similar.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, in retail or ecommerce required.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize complex financial data.
• Prefer prior experience with financial modeling and/or forecasting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools, such as Power BI, Sigma, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
