The Key Account Manager - Customers / Vendors is responsible for building, nurturing, and improving relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners within the sales and purchasing area of the company. This role involves identifying potential opportunities, educating clients about our offerings, and ensuring that both the company and its clients achieve mutual success. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, capable of driving growth through deep relationships and data-driven decision-making
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance long-term strategic relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
- Manage and support customer and vendor interactions, ensuring all parties have a positive experience with the company.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing their needs and resolving any issues that arise.
- Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to the sales team for follow-up.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth within specific brands and channels.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the company meets clients’ expectations and delivers on promises.
- Educate and inform clients about the company’s products, services, and special offers.
- Provide clients with updates on new products, market trends, and any relevant industry news.
- Ensure clients are aware of all the resources available to them, fostering strong brand loyalty.
- Analyze market and sales data to identify trends and make recommendations for business planning and product development.
- Present forecasts and insights to senior management, providing data-driven recommendations to improve sales performance.
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred. Related experience considered in lieu of education.
- Prior experience of 3 to 5 years in similar roles.
- Experience in retail or technologies companies preferred
- Strong verbal, written and presentations skills
- Knowledge of supply chain processes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of consumer electronics and retail industry dynamics, trends, and customer behaviors.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-centric mindset.
- Highly attentive to detail, excellent follow-up skills, able to work accurately and efficiently at a fast pace, be an excellent multitasker.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proven experience in data analysis, performance measurement, or a similar KPI-driven role.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the time
