Pay: $47,000 - $52,000 (DOQ)
Reports to: Senior Director of Amenities

Job Summary:
The Amenity Sales Specialist plays an important role in providing tour operators and large groups with exceptional customer service before, during, and after their visit. The specialist will build on preexisting relationships to grow the JIA tour operator model through revenue and attendance generation. The responsibilities of the specialist include providing customers with exceptional customer service, working with all amenities and the convention center to boost group sales, upselling additional tours, and coordinating timing of tours.
Description:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase group sales and revenue.
- Working with amenities to increase ticket sales and attendance through group sales.
- Cross promoting all amenities to all tour operators that currently visit.
- Forecasting sales.
- Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Building relationships with long-term key accounts and potential clients.
- Resolving issues and providing internal and external customers with solutions.
- Fostering collaboration and open communication between team members.
- Negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Tracking and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of group events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all group sales activities.
- Work closely with other departments such as marketing, convention center staff, and amenity managers and directors.
- Solicit new and existing group accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through business development, telephone solicitation, outside calls, and written communication.
- Plan and assist with VIP tours and experiences for groups.
- Holding and blocking space; releasing space not needed on a timely basis.
- Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with team members in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively foster a culture of engagement.
- Enhancing the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school degree or a recognized equivalent. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years sales or relatable experience.
- Proven experience in group sales, customer service, and verbal and written communication.
- Must be detail-oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Microsoft Office skills required.
- Must be outgoing, personable, friendly, and love working with people.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a valid drivers license
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
- More than 50% of the typical workday will be spent standing and/or sitting.
- Between 25 and 50% of the day will be spent walking, lifting, grasping, feeling and climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Less than 25% of the day will be spent climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Sensory abilities required include vision, hearing and touching with more than 50% of the day spent communicating, talking and hearing.
- Must have visual clarity to determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned as well as close visual clarity to prepare, analyze data and figures and operate and view a computer.
- Required to perform work both inside and outside. Occasional exposure to extreme heat, high humidity, and occasionally adverse weather conditions including occasional extreme cold.
- May be exposed to hazards such as moving vehicles.
- Noise levels are considered normal, may be occasionally subjected to loud, above ambient noise level occasionally.
