Sr Network Architect

JELD-WEN is currently seeking an Sr Network Architect to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

JELD-WEN, inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Architect to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of our complex network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of network principles, security best practices, and cloud networking technologies. You will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our network environment, both on-premises and in Azure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable network architectures to meet current and future business needs.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Architect, configure, and maintain firewall infrastructure to enforce security policies and protect against cyber threats.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and access controls.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the OSI model and its application in network design and troubleshooting.
• Plan, implement, and support core network services, including DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
• Design, deploy, and manage cloud network connectivity.
• Design, implement, support and mature secure cloud architecture selecting appropriate cloud services and configurations to minimize vulnerabilities.
• Implement cloud data protection measures
• Monitor and mitigate security threats
• Ensure compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and business applications.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Evaluate new network technologies and make recommendations for infrastructure improvements and enhancements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed to support critical network infrastructure.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in network engineering and architecture roles.
• Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues across various layers of the OSI model.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience managing and configuring firewall technologies.
• Solid foundation in network security principles and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions.
• Experience designing and managing network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the Fortinet suite of products (e.g., FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer).
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate).
• Certified Cloud Engineer
• Industry recognized information security certifications such as CISSP or CCSP

Expected pay for this role is between $105,800.00 to $176,400.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
