We are seeking a Master Plumber to join a local plumbing company on the northside of Milwaukee for a direct hire.
Pay : $30-40 / HR
Description :
A master plumber is a highly skilled professional in the plumbing industry who is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex plumbing systems in both residential and commercial buildings, ensuring all work complies with local building codes, and often overseeing and training other plumbers, including apprentices and journeymen, while demonstrating advanced knowledge of plumbing design, troubleshooting, and project management.
Key responsibilities of a master plumber may include :
Design and installation :
Creating and implementing plumbing layouts for new construction or renovations, including complex systems like backflow prevention devices, large water heaters, and intricate pipe configurations.
Maintenance and repair :
Diagnosing and fixing advanced plumbing issues, including leaks, clogged drains, faulty fixtures, and malfunctioning water heaters.
Code compliance :
Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
Project management :
Overseeing plumbing projects from start to finish, including estimating costs, scheduling work, and coordinating with other trades.
Supervision and training :
Leading and mentoring apprentice and journeyman plumbers, providing on-the-job training and guidance.
Blueprint interpretation :
Reading and understanding complex blueprints to plan plumbing installations and repairs accurately.
Client consultation :
Advising clients on plumbing options, providing estimates, and addressing concerns.
Troubleshooting complex issues :
Identifying and resolving intricate plumbing problems that may require advanced diagnostic skills.
Emergency response :
Being available for urgent plumbing repairs outside of regular working hours.
