Job Description
The salary range for this position is $130,000-150,000
As our Project Director you'll run the project processes, oversee the schedule, and track the output of the practitioners to ensure our work is delivered on time, on budget, and meeting standards, and client goals.provide. You'll also provide support and guidance to more junior staff and oversee any project circumstances requiring escalation to team leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain project control and meet all project control KPIs for all assigned projects.
- Addresses risk on projects as a matter of course and can anticipate project risks that impact KPIs and mitigate their impact.
- Escalate risks and issues to more senior members of the project management team. Addresses low to medium-priority risks independently.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement along with proposed solutions. Will support PM plans at the direction of PM leadership.
- Develop meaningful relationships with stakeholders across the organization that support efficient client onboarding and delivery.
- Regularly client-facing at this level.
- Regularly participate in scoping of net new business
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in a similar role within the media or advertising industry
- Can manage a small Program (defined as a collection of projects with their own PMs for the same client) or has recognized project expertise in a single product/capability.
- Provide support for skill/knowledge gaps of less experienced members of the team.
- Can identify skill gaps on their project teams and escalate to their capability support.
- Has expert-level project management fundamentals (e.g., schedule dependency and project planning) and can exercise them on a project without guidance.
- Provide onboarding support for new project managers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement on the project team and in the broader organization and surfaces to team leadership for evaluation.
- Understand strategic elements (expectation management, resource planning, dependency management) of project management, and works with their client management counterparts to develop long-term plans for project execution.
- Should have excellent time management skills and should be able to effectively prioritize competing demands to strike a balance between their project responsibilities and their team leadership responsibilities.
- Understanding of PM KPIs and objectives and should rely on them to direct their daily performance.
- Serve as the bridge between project-focused PMs and the PM leadership, surfacing challenges and opportunities related to KPIs to PM leadership.
