Job Overview
Leads the lifeguard team, ensuring all aquatic areas are safe and guests have a fun experience. They oversee daily operations, assist with training, and respond to emergencies with professionalism and quick action.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Head Lifeguard to oversee the safety and well-being of all guests at our aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional swimming abilities, and a commitment to providing excellent guest services. Lifeguard and CPR certification training will be provided as part of the onboarding process for this role. Successful completion of the training is required to fulfill the job responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Aquatics Manager to effectively perform tasks and duties
- Supervise and coordinate lifeguard staff to ensure effective monitoring of pool activities.
- Enforce all safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure guest safety.
- Perform routine pool maintenance and cleaning tasks to uphold facility standards.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of pool usage, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Assist guests with inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning.
Requirements
- Age 17
- Willing to undergo a drug/alchohol test
- Willing to undergo a background check
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to perform rescues when necessary.
- Experience in guest services with a focus on creating a welcoming environment.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment as needed for pool maintenance tasks.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
- Willing to cross-train with other departments
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
