Description :

Position Summary : The Designer / Mechanical Engineer, working with Sales and Application Engineering, will create documents and designs of complex manifold assemblies and components.

Areas of Accountability :

• Prepares or directs the preparation of products, detailed drawings, and schematics.
• Documents proper assembly and testing procedures when applicable
• Analyze product specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that existing manufacturing methods can produce.
• Provides technical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations.
• Analyze and test JEM-manufactured products to determine if the design meets functional and performance specifications.
• Evaluate and implement existing product applications to new product designs.
• Confers with company personnel to clarify or resolve design and document complications.
• Is motivated to work well as an individual or in a team environment.
• Prepares design modifications when needed.
• Compliance with all JEM policies and procedures, including ISO, OSHA, and AWAIR requirements.
• Supports JEM’s vision and mission, and exemplifies JEM’s core values daily.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk or hear, and frequently reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Salary Range :

70,000 - $90,000 yearly.
