Job Title: Manager, Facilities and Environmental Health and Safety
Supervisor/Manager Title: Director, THV Operations
Job Description Summary: Responsible for ensuring equipment, corporate office/manufacturing facility reliability, integrity, and compliance. This person is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety programs across the site with particular emphasis in the Operations teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building obligations per lease, maintenance contracts, and building-vendor relationships.
- Oversee all facility improvements.
- Manage Facilities staff to support employee and building requests.
- Co-ordinating the cost-effective use of external contractors to facilitate activities.
- Lead and coordinate facility validation activities in line with the validation master plan.
- Manage facilities and equipment testing schedules including fire alarms, emergency lighting, HVAC, Water Hygiene, lift, ladders, pest control, fixed wire testing and PAT (portable appliance testing).
- Support the maintenance of site equipment in line with calibration and preventative maintenance schedule.
- Support continuous improvements for critical facilities equipment.
- Provide facilities/services support for upscaling of current manufacturing processes including installation and validation of new equipment.
- Develop, implement and monitor Health and Safety plans and procedures.
- Ensure that emergency preparedness and response plans are developed, documented,
- implemented and tested.
- Ensure that effective medical, first aid, occupational health facilities, resources, equipment, and equipment are provided and maintained.
- Ensure risk assessment procedures are in place and monitored for effectiveness to ensure safe systems of work.
- Organize and facilitate training, drills and exercises for emergency preparedness and response.
- Adhere to all aspects of the JenaValve Quality Management System (QMS) in the completion of duties.
- Obtain quotes and initiate purchase requests for maintenance and renovation work including discussing with contractor, vendor and/or consultant for minor projects
- Perform all routine and non-routine maintenance, which include on-call and weekend work orders/ building emergencies.
- Be subject-matter expert in EHS program and lead internal audits of assigned sites to identify areas of noncompliance or nonconformance with regulations and EHS Standards.
- Advise manufacturing teams on technical matters to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, permits and reporting obligations.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- 5 years in a related facilities role with 2 years of management experience.
- 5 years working with Class III Medical Device companies is preferred.
- Completed certifications for HVAC controls, Project Management, EHS is preferred
- Proficient in Equipment Management software (e.g. Blue Mountain, QCBD or equivalent), Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
