Job Summary:
The Human Resource Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR Coordinator and other office personnel and assist with various HR functions, including training and development, recruitment, onboarding, employee records maintenance, and other HR-related tasks.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings and reviewing candidates for interviewing.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding activities, including preparing and conducting new hire paperwork, and assisting with the set up of new hire training classes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Ensure compliance of records per our contract with DHHS NE.
- Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, and terminations, and updating relevant HR systems and records accordingly.
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and scheduling meetings.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Education and Experience:
- At least 1-year proven experience in an administrative role, preferably in a Human Resources department
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
